Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre welcomed 14 new hybrid straddle carriers at the Port of Le Havre, France. The new hybrid straddle carriers are the first of their kind deployed at the terminal, building on the commitments to invest in the terminal, as shared last year, when Hanseatic Global Terminals acquired 60% stake in the terminal. The delivery of the equipment plays a significant role in further optimizing operations while simultaneously preparing for significantly more volume and throughput. Furthermore, they will help reduce carbon emissions, fuel costs and noise levels significantly while offering operators a more comfortable working environment aligned with sustainability ambitions.
In March 2025, Hanseatic Global Terminals acquired a 60% majority stake in the CNMP LHterminal Le Havre, with the remaining 40% held by Seafrigo. Since then, Hanseatic Global Terminals has invested significantly in the site, including the purchase of 14 Kalmar hybrid straddle carriers with delivery expected in early 2026. Additionally, Benoit Klein was appointed Managing Director of Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre. The new name andbrand identity represent the latest step in the terminal’s growth journey.
Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) today successfully completed the acquisition of 60% of the shares in CNMP LH from Seafrigo Group. CNMP LH operates the Atlantique container terminal in Le Havre, France, as an independent company for its customers worldwide. The remaining 40% of the shares in CNMP LH will continue to be held by Seafrigo Group, a company specialized in temperature-controlled food logistics. The contracting parties have agreed to not disclose any financial details of the transaction.
Hanseatic Global Terminals has appointed Benoit Klein as Managing Director of CNMP Le Havre, effective 1 September 2025.
Bringing 29 years of industry experience, Klein’s leadership follows Hanseatic’s recent 60% acquisition of the terminal and marks a key step in strengthening growth and operational excellence.
